One of our church members, Andrew Dietzel, has been accepted to Wartburg Theological Seminary. A “Seminarian Assistance Fund” has been set up to assist Andrew and future church members with their seminary studies. All our Interns and all of our Pastors received support for Seminary from their home congregations. This support usually is the tuition, paid by their home churches. Tuition to Wartburg for last year was $11,500. Our financial partnership is integral to Wartburg’s mission of forming valued leaders for Christ’s mission.

We have been working hard in answering requests about an updated website, while the other website was beautiful it was hard to make updates without having the knowledge of website design. With the help of Aloe Software Group and the generous time they have donated to this project we now have a site that can be updated weekly through the office staff. The site was built with this goal and with minimal training the office staff can make updates as needed.

I am pleased for you all to have received a notice from Wartburg Seminary that we were assigned another intern for the year 2009-2010. His name is Derek Harkins and he is married to Jessica. Their dog is named Dieti, named after one of his favorite theologians, Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
